VALERIA PETTARIN was born in Argentina in 1974. She graduated in Materials Engineering (1998) and received her PhD in Material’s Science (2002) at the University of Mar del Plata. She made short research stays at Politecnico di Milano (Italy), Universidade de São Paulo, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) and Universidade do Minho (Portugal). She is currently working as a researcher at Institute of Materials Science and Technology and teaching assistant at University of Mar del Plata. Her research interests lie on the mechanical and fracture performance of polymer parts. She authored 19 indexed scientific publications, 3 book chapters and more than 60 works at International Conferences; and supervised several undergraduate students.
